DESCRIPTION Our Client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a proactive and highly organized Loan Recovery Officer to join our team. The Loan Recovery Officer will play a key role in managing overdue loans and ensuring successful recovery through effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of financial practices, debt recovery, and customer service. As a Loan Recovery Officer, you will be responsible for identifying delinquent accounts, negotiating repayment plans with debtors, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations. You will work closely with our clients to offer solutions that help them meet their repayment obligations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contact clients with overdue loans via phone, email, or mail to discuss payment options.
  • Negotiate and arrange repayment plans or settlements with debtors in line with company policies.
  • Assess the financial situation of debtors and recommend suitable payment terms.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and agreements made with clients.
  • Monitor and track the progress of loan recovery efforts.
  • Work with legal and collections teams to pursue further actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory guidelines in all debt recovery activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor with clients.
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding outstanding loans, recovery rates, and customer feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of OND.
  • Proven experience in loan recovery, debt collection, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and debt recovery practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases at once.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with distressed clients.
  • Excel skills and Computer Knowledge.
